Track how many pills are left and get a refill reminder
Running out is its own kind of missed dose, and it is the one you can see coming. The app counts down from what you tell it and gives you a few days' warning.
Turn it on for a medicine
- Open the medicine and turn on stock tracking.
- Enter how many you have now — count the box.
- Set how many days' warning you want. Five is the default; make it longer if your prescription takes a week to come through.
- Save. Every dose you record takes its amount off the count.
How the days left are worked out
From the schedule, not from guesswork. Two tablets a day from sixty tablets is thirty days; half a tablet every second day from the same box is a great deal longer. A medicine taken on specific days or every few days is counted at its real rate.
The warning
When the days left reach your warning number, a notification tells you to arrange more, and the medicine is marked as low in the app. Up to three such warnings are queued at a time, so a cupboard of medicines running low together does not crowd out the dose reminders.
After a refill
Open the medicine and set the stock to the new total — what you just collected plus whatever was left. The countdown starts again from there.
FAQ
- Does the count go down if I skip a dose?
- No. Only a dose recorded as taken comes off the stock.
- Can I track stock for an as-needed medicine?
- Yes, and the count goes down with every dose you log — but there is no schedule to predict from, so there is no days-left figure for it.
- Does it know my prescription or pharmacy?
- No. It counts what you told it and says when it is running out; collecting more is yours to do.
Pill Reminder helps you remember your medicines and keep a record of them. It does not give medical advice, suggest doses or check interactions. If you are unsure about a medicine or a dose, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
Never miss a dose again
Pill Reminder reminds you at the right time, records the dose from the Lock Screen, looks after the whole family's medicines, and keeps a history you can hand to a doctor — all on your iPhone, with no account.
