A reminder that holds up on a bad day
A reminder you can answer
Taken, Skip or Snooze straight from the notification — no unlocking, no opening the app. Everything due at once arrives as one reminder.
Schedules that fit real medicines
Every day, certain weekdays, every few days, or as needed. Several doses a day, each with its own amount, half tablets included.
Rings even in silent mode
Mark a medicine important and its doses ring like an alarm, through silent mode and Focus, until you stop them. iOS 26 and later.
The whole family
A profile for each person you look after, with their own medicines, reminders, history and report — and reminders that say whose dose it is.
Never run out
Tell it how many you have and it counts down with each dose, then warns you days before the box is empty.
A report for your doctor
A PDF of 30, 90 or 365 days: every planned dose, what was recorded against it, and how often each medicine was taken.
Nothing leaves your phone
No account, no server, no iCloud sync, no ads. Your medicines live on your iPhone, behind Face ID if you want.
Simple mode
One screen of today's medicines with large buttons, for someone who just needs to tick them off. Leaving it needs Face ID.
Three minutes to set up, one tap a dose
- 1
Add your medicines
Name, strength, form and the times each one is taken — with its own amount at each time.
- 2
Answer the reminder
Taken, Skip or Snooze from the Lock Screen, the widget or the Today screen. The app need never be opened.
- 3
Keep the record
A calendar of what was taken, adherence figures, and a PDF for the next appointment.
Private by design
A medicine list says a lot about a person
So it stays on your iPhone. No account, no server, no analytics in the app, and no iCloud sync — Apple's own guideline forbids putting personal health information there, and we agree with it. You can hide medicine names on the Lock Screen and lock the app with Face ID.

A subscription can never silence a medicine
The reminder engine cannot read the PRO entitlement. If PRO lapses, every dose keeps ringing — only family profiles, older history and the doctor's report lock.

Guides
Setting up reminders that actually arrive, step by step.
How to set a medication reminder on your iPhone
Add a medicine, pick the times it is taken, allow notifications once — and your iPhone will tell you when each dose is due, with a button to record it.
Add a medicine and set its doses
Everything in the medicine editor, field by field: name and strength, form, schedule, dose times and amounts, food, stock, start and end dates.
Mark a dose as taken, or skip it
Four places to record a dose: the notification, the widget, the Today screen and Simple mode — plus what Skip means and when to use it.
What Pill Reminder does, and what it deliberately does not
An honest list: the app reminds, records and reports. It does not give dosing advice, check interactions or sync anything to a cloud — and here is why.
Frequently asked questions
- Is Pill Reminder free?
- Yes. Reminders are free for as many of your own medicines as you like, with no ads — along with schedules, stock tracking, widgets, Simple mode, backups and the last 30 days of history. PRO adds family profiles, alarm-style reminders, your full history and the doctor's report.
- Do reminders stop if my subscription ends?
- Never. The part of the app that schedules reminders has no access to the subscription at all. If PRO lapses, every medicine for every person keeps ringing; only the family section, older history and the PDF report lock.
- Does it sync between my devices?
- No, deliberately. Apple's guideline 5.1.3(ii) forbids keeping personal health information in iCloud, so the app stores nothing there. You move your medicines to a new phone with a backup file.
- Can it remind me through silent mode?
- Yes, for medicines you mark as important: on iOS 26 and later they ring like a Clock alarm, through silent mode and Focus. That is part of PRO; an ordinary notification is always scheduled alongside it.
- Does it give advice about my medicines?
- No. It reminds and records. It never suggests a dose, never tells you what to do about a missed one, and does not check interactions — those are questions for your doctor or pharmacist.
- Which languages does it support?
- Fourteen: English, German, Spanish, French, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Dutch, Portuguese (Brazil), Russian, Turkish, Vietnamese and Simplified Chinese.
Pill Reminder helps you remember your medicines and keep a record of them. It does not give medical advice, suggest doses or check interactions. If you are unsure about a medicine or a dose, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
