Simple mode: today's medicines, large buttons, nothing else
Tabs, history, settings and a subscription are all noise to someone whose only job is today's tablets. Simple mode removes every one of them.
What it shows
Today's medicines, in large type, each with a big button to say it has been taken. Nothing else — no tabs, no editor, no history, no paywall.
Turn it on
- Set up the medicines first, properly — Simple mode cannot add or change them.
- Open Settings and turn on Simple mode under Ease and privacy.
- Turn on the lock as well, so leaving Simple mode needs Face ID or Touch ID.
- Hand the phone over. It opens into the simple screen from then on.
Getting back out
Leaving Simple mode asks for Face ID or Touch ID when the lock is on. That is the point: the person using it cannot wander into the editor and change a dose, and you can always get back in.
Who it is for
- An older person who finds a normal app layout hard to read or navigate.
- Someone recovering, who should not be adjusting their own schedule.
- Anyone who simply wants one screen and one button.
FAQ
- Do reminders still arrive in Simple mode?
- Yes, exactly as before, with the same Taken, Skip and Snooze buttons.
- Can I change a medicine without leaving Simple mode?
- No. Leave it with Face ID, make the change, and turn it back on.
- Does Simple mode cost anything?
- No, it is free, as is the app lock.
Pill Reminder helps you remember your medicines and keep a record of them. It does not give medical advice, suggest doses or check interactions. If you are unsure about a medicine or a dose, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
Never miss a dose again
Pill Reminder reminds you at the right time, records the dose from the Lock Screen, looks after the whole family's medicines, and keeps a history you can hand to a doctor — all on your iPhone, with no account.
